Top 4 Reasons to Hire a Professional Senior Photographer

It’s your senior year and you want to celebrate this special time in your life by documenting your senior year with a senior portrait session! But everyone has a phone that takes pretty good photos. Maybe some of your friends are dabbling in photography so you think they could just take your photo! However, the truth is not everyone with an iPhone or even a camera is a great photographer! You don’t want to entrust your senior photo shoot to just anyone with a nice camera. You want to hire a professional senior photographer!

As a professional photographer, I have years of experience (18 yrs to be exact!) capturing this special time in a teenager’s life. I have perfected my craft by developing an experience that allows me to get to know each and every one of my clients and give them a photo shoot that tells their unique story.

There is more to capturing a senior and telling their story through a camera than simply clicking the shutter. Here are my five reasons on why you should hire a professional senior photographer!

I Have the Right Equipment and the Skills

To consistently capture beautiful senior photos, you need more than a fancy camera. I have heard it before: “your camera takes really great photos!” But the truth is, the camera is only part of the equation. It takes skills to know what shutter speed, what angle, and the type of light that works best for senior photos.

You Don’t Have to Worry About a Thing

When hiring me for your senior photos, I will take care of everything for you! As a senior, you are busy with school, sports, college applications and more so you don’t have time to worry about making appointments or stressing about any part of the photo shoot process. I will walk you through every step, provide lots of information that will answer any and all questions you might have. We will plan your session to fit your unique personality including picking the perfect location, no matter if it’s in the city, a field, or the mountains. I’ll be here to help you on what to wear for your session with my What to Wear Guide and my style closet.

Your Images Can Be Transformed into Works of Art

Digital images are great and most teens want to be able to share their senior photos on social media! However, you also have the ability to create works of art from your photos and parents especially love this option! Photos are meant to be displayed and with the different product options I offer, you and your parents can pick the products that best suit your needs. From canvases, albums, and framed prints, having your photos hanging in your home is a special reminder of your one of a kind senior session!

You’re Only a High School Senior Once!

You deserve to be celebrated! You’ve worked hard over the past twelve years, and while it may have seemed like it took an eternity to get here, this moment will not last forever. By hiring a professional photographer, you are giving yourself the gift of capturing this special time and all you have accomplished. It’s important to document who you are at this moment in life, and you will be able to look back and cherish every aspect of being a senior.
